Summer reading can be a lot of fun and it can lead to more success in the Fall.
At the Summer Reading program there is something for all ages. In addition to reading, programs include Summer Food and the Christmas in July backpack program.

Kaleidoscope - Play & Learn® for caregiver and child. (10AM to 2PM)
Dolly Parton Imagination Library - free book per month until 5th birthday
Free Diaper Program - free diapers through Diaper Bank of NC.
Reading Assistance - small group reading tutoring (10AM to 4 PM, 1 hour)
Lending Library - onsite library for program participants
Summer Food - groceries for qualifying students
Christmas in July - backpacks with school supplies for qualifying students
Story Time - stories and activities (2PM to 3PM)
Under the Sea - age appropriate books and chance for prizes (1PM to 2PM)
League of Legendary Readers - read graphic novels for fun and chance for prizes
Lending Library - onsite library for program participants (open 10 to 4)
Adult Literacy Assessment - first step to improved reading and writing
GED Assessment - first step to GED
